Welcome Fr. Ariel Hernandez!

Father Ariel Hernandez arrived at our parish on Monday, August 5, 2013 to become the second pastor of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish. Father Ariel has been a priest for the Camden Diocese for ten years. He was born and raised in Argentina. After completing his studies at Jesus the Good Shepherd Seminary in Argentina, he was called by Our Lady Queen of Peace to the priesthood in the United States. This call was confirmed by Bishop DiMarzio who ordained Father Ariel on the Feast of Our Lady Help of All Christians in 2003. He is the past pastor of The Parish of the Holy Cross in the Bridgeton area where he most recently merged five churches into one parish. He has served as administrator of Immaculate Conception, Saint Teresa of Avila, and Saint Michael Cedarville. He also served as the parochial vicar at Immaculate Heart of Mary, Vineland and Saint Bridget, Glassboro. He was the Associate Vicar of the Spanish Apostolate in the Camden Diocese and works tirelessly to bring union and healing to the American and Spanish cultures.He is very active in the healing ministry and he has celebrated a Healing Mass every First Saturday at the Church of the Immaculate Conception. The Healing Mass has grown over the years to bring people from the tri-state area and many have experienced physical and spiritual healings. He is devoted to Our Blessed Mother under many titles. Father Ariel received a special gift from the Blessed Virgin under the title of Our Lady of Schoenstatt and he is the custodian of a miraculous image of her from Argentina. He celebratesa Mass in her honor every 18th of the month and hecommunicates her message of love to all. Father Ariel extends a special invitation to all parishioners to attend the special Mass on Sunday August 18th at 3:00 pm at Saint Michael Church to come and see and pray before the miraculous image of Our Lady. After Mass we will gather together for a special time of sharing and enjoy the food and refreshments.

El Padre Ariel Hernández llego a nuestra parroquia el lunes 5 de Agosto, para convertirse en el segundo párroco de la Parroquia de nuestra señora del Santisimo sacramento. El Padre Ariel nació en el pueblo de Las Acequias, Argentina, hijo de los señores Osvaldo Ramón Hernández y Zulma I. Cabrera. Llego a los Estados Unidos el 4 de Julio del 2001. Después de completar sus estudios en el Seminario Jesús el Buen Pastor en Argentina, fue ordenado por el obispo DiMarzio en la fiesta de María Auxiliadora, el 24 de Mayo, 2003. El Padre Ariel fue el Parroco de la Parroquia de la Santa Cruz en el área de Bridgeton donde recientemente se fusionaron cinco iglesias en una sola parroquia. Es co-vicario del Apostolado hispano en la Diócesis de Camden y trabaja incansablemente para la unión y la sanación de las culturas Americanas e Hispanas. Él es muy activo en el ministerio de sanación y celebro una Misa de Sanación cada primer Sábado del mes en la Iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepción. La Misa de Sanación ha crecido a lo largo de los años para unir a las personas del área tri-estatal y muchos han experimentado curaciones físicas, espirituales y mentales. Él es devoto de Nuestra Santísima Madre. Fue La Virgen Reina de la Paz que lo llamó al sacerdocio y a los Estados Unidos. El Padre Ariel recibió un enorme regalo de la Santísima Virgen de Schoenstatt, y él es el custodio de la imagen milagrosa que viene de Argentina. Se celebra una misa el 18 de cada mes en su honor y Él comunica su mensaje de amor a todos. El Padre Ariel les hace una Invitacion a todos los parroquianos a participar de una Misa especial el dia 18 de agosto a las 3:00pm en la Iglesia de San Miguel. Vengan a conocer y rezar frente a la imagen milagrosa de Nuestra Señora. Despues de la Misa tendremos un convivio en el basement de la iglesia.
